A reproduction refers to furniture made now in the same manner and style as antique furniture made at some time in history. Reproduction furniture is usually made and finished by hand in the same manner as, for example, in the 18th century. Reproduction furniture is often made using tools and techniques available at the time the original antique would have been made. This often results in a stronger, more durable, and more elegant piece of furniture than an equivalent factory made piece.
