A branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and help for recovery for somebody who has survived a serious injury or illness or an addiction, that will enable him or her to live a healthy and productive life. Programs and services can consist of: physical or physiotherapies, speech therapy and occupational training. It is thus responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation management of people with disabling medical conditions and comorbidity across all ages.
